With the Super Bowl behind us, the 2021 NFL draft order has officially been set. The Kansas City Chiefs will hold the No. 31 pick in the draft after their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

The Chiefs have only had the 31st pick in the draft twice before in franchise history, selecting OT Trezelle Jenkins in 1995 and RB Elijah Gibson in 1966. Neither player made much of an impact on the team. Hopefully, Brett Veach will be able to find some impact players for the squad this time around.

Here’s a quick look at the updated draft order for the Chiefs. The first three rounds are set, but after that things are subject to change once compensatory draft picks are officially announced. The team is projected to earn two compensatory draft picks on Day 3 of the draft.

1 day ago  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tied for the seventh-best record in the 2020 NFL regular season at 11-5, but the Bucs will pick last, No. 32 overall, in the first round of the 2021 Draft on April 29 in Cleveland – assuming the draft is held there as that could change if the pandemic is still raging – thanks to winning Super Bowl 55 in an upset of the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night in Tampa. 1 day ago  Below is the official NFL Draft order for the first 32 picks in 2021, now including the Super Bowl winner and loser. Round 1, Pick 31Round 2, Pick 63Round 3, Pick 95Round 4, Pick 127Round 5, Pick 159Round 7, Pick 223

An interesting note, assuming the Chiefs don’t trade out of pick No. 63, this will be the third consecutive season they make a pick at that spot. The previous two selections landed DB Juan Thornhill and LB Willie Gay Jr., so they seem to have a good idea of how to acquire talent with that draft slot.

Our friends over at Draft Wire recently released an updated two-round mock draft projection, sending an offensive lineman and a cornerback to Kansas City.

With only the Super Bowl remaining in the 2020-21 NFL season, it’s time to look ahead to the 2021 NFL Draft. This year’s draft is scheduled to take place on April 29-May 1, 2021, in Cleveland, Ohio. See below for the top 30 picks in the first round. The draft order is determined by record- if two teams finish with the same record, the NFL gives the higher pick to the team that played the easier schedule.
